Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Fied Labs Inc. handles information when you use the Kidney Daily website, publication tools, or Android app.

Effective date: June 8, 2026 · Last updated: August 11, 2026

1. Scope and current availability

Fied Labs Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Kidney Daily website (the "Website") and Kidney Daily Android application (the "App"). The Website provides educational articles, original website recipes, organizational tools, and information about the App. Kidney Daily does not provide diagnosis, treatment, medication dosing, emergency guidance, clinical advice, or a replacement for a licensed care team.

The current public Android 1.0 release is local-first and does not require an account. Sections below describing optional accounts, membership, or Connected AI Food apply only when those features are displayed and available in the version of the App you use. Their inclusion in this policy is not a promise that a feature is currently available.

2. Website browsing and local tools

When you visit the Website, our hosting, security, and infrastructure providers may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect it. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, date and time, response status, and security or error information.

Interactive worksheets or checklists that are clearly identified as local run in your browser. Information you type into those local tools is not intentionally submitted to Kidney Daily. Your browser may retain ordinary page or preference state on your device, and printing or saving a worksheet is handled by your browser or device.

The Website does not currently use advertising pixels or third-party behavioural-advertising trackers. If our analytics or advertising practices materially change, we will update this policy and any consent controls required by applicable law before using them.

The Website links to Google Play and may link to independent sources. When you follow an external link, the destination handles information under its own terms and privacy practices. See the current App listing on Google Play.

3. Newsletter, launch updates, and messages

If you subscribe to Kidney Daily email, we process the email address you provide and related subscription records, such as consent, signup, confirmation, delivery, and unsubscribe status and timestamps. We use this information to send the publication or product updates you requested and to operate the list.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a message or by contacting us. We may retain a minimal suppression record so that we can honour an unsubscribe request and records reasonably required to demonstrate consent or comply with law.

If you email support, corrections, or another Kidney Daily address, our email provider and staff process the message, contact details, attachments, and related support information. Do not send laboratory reports, health records, medication lists, or other sensitive health information by email unless we specifically ask for it through an appropriate channel.

4. Website content-management accounts

The Website may provide a private content-management area for authorized writers, reviewers, and administrators. It is not a public reader account system. Supabase may process administrator authentication information such as email address, user ID, session information, sign-in timestamps, IP address, and user agent.

For authorized users, we may store a profile and role, draft and published content, review and scheduling information, media metadata, and operational or audit records needed to manage the publication, attribute work, secure access, and investigate errors or misuse.

The Website may use strictly necessary cookies or browser storage for an authorized administrator session and security. Public readers do not need an account to read the Website.

5. Local-first App information

Food and water logs, medication check-ins, symptoms, vitals, notes, reminders, Records/Labs PDFs, recipes, local backup files, and Doctor Export files stay on your device unless you deliberately use Android sharing, save a backup to a location you choose, sign in where sign-in is available, make or restore a purchase where purchases are available, or use a connected feature described below.

Local information can be removed by deleting records in the App, clearing App storage, or uninstalling Kidney Daily. A local .kdbak backup is not encrypted by Kidney Daily after you save it to a location you control.

6. Optional App account sign-in

Where optional account sign-in is offered, Supabase processes account and authentication information such as your user ID, email address, sign-in provider, session information, timestamps, IP address, and user agent. Supabase stores a small account profile and server-owned membership state. Account sign-in is not required for core local tracking.

7. Optional Kidney Daily Plus membership

Where Kidney Daily Plus is offered, optional monthly and annual subscriptions are purchased through Google Play. Prices, billing periods, eligibility, and final offers are displayed by Google Play before purchase. Each plan renews automatically for its displayed billing period until cancelled. RevenueCat processes product, transaction, subscription-lifecycle, app-user, device, and entitlement information needed to offer, verify, restore, and support Plus. Supabase stores a server-side entitlement mirror for connected-feature authorization.

Google Play may display a seven-day introductory trial for eligible new subscribers to the annual plan. Eligibility is not guaranteed. When offered, the trial converts to the paid annual subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Google Play handles payment processing, subscription charges, cancellation, and refunds. Kidney Daily does not receive or store your payment-card number.

8. Optional Connected AI Food text help

Where Connected AI Food is offered, it is optional. Signed-in free accounts may make up to 20 Connected AI Food text-analysis requests per UTC calendar month. Each submitted connected attempt can count toward this limit, including a retry or a request submitted after answering clarification questions, even when it does not return a usable food draft. Local or manual food logging does not count. Connected features remain subject to availability, abuse prevention, and reasonable service limits.

When you explicitly ask Kidney Daily to analyze text, the App sends the meal description and follow-up answers you provide; confirmed food identities or corrections; your selected Canada or United States Food region; locale, meal context, fluid unit, and requested nutrient identifiers; request, draft, and item identifiers; and account or reviewer-access authorization information to a Kidney Daily Supabase Edge Function.

Supabase authorizes the request and may check eligible user-specific corrections and shared nutrition-cache records. Google Gemini processes the meal text and confirmed context to create editable food, portion, nutrient, and review-question estimates. Gemini results are AI-generated estimates, not source-backed facts, and may be wrong or incomplete. You must review and edit the food identity, serving, and nutrient values before anything is saved to your local log. Missing optional nutrients may remain unknown rather than being treated as zero.

Automatic source research is disabled for the current connected-feature launch. Connected text requests are not sent to Exa, the Canadian Nutrient File, USDA FoodData Central, or OpenRouter.

9. Retention and server records

Website newsletter, administrator, content, scheduling, support, security, and server records are retained for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described in this policy, to maintain publication history and security, to honour opt-outs, or to meet legal obligations. Retention can vary by record and service provider.

Kidney Daily does not put raw meal text, prompts, Gemini responses, or unaccepted AI candidates in an App-owned server draft or session table. An active Connected AI Food request is processed in server memory.

The current Supabase Free plan provides one-day platform log retention and does not include automatic backups available to Kidney Daily. Platform logs may contain operational request metadata such as timestamp, network address, route, status, and error information. Kidney Daily production telemetry is designed not to include meal text, images, OCR text, source-search queries, authorization tokens, or provider payloads. Supabase and its infrastructure providers may retain limited residual information where required for security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, or service operation under their terms.

Google retains Gemini prompts, context, and responses for up to 55 days for abuse monitoring and required legal or regulatory disclosures. Google states that paid-service prompts and responses are not used to improve its products. Content flagged by abuse-detection systems may be reviewed by authorized Google personnel. Kidney Daily does not use the Gemini Files API or Google Search grounding for user AI Food content.

Kidney Daily may retain normalized food identity, reviewed nutrient values, provenance, and freshness dates in a shared nutrition cache that is not linked to your account. Raw meal lines and provider payloads are not stored in that cache. If you are signed in and explicitly save a reviewed correction, Kidney Daily may retain the reviewed food name, serving, nutrient values, and source details so later matching can prefer that correction. The raw meal description is not retained with the correction.

Kidney Daily may retain account-backed, content-free consent, quota, usage, and operational metadata such as UTC-month quota and request counters, request identifier, provider, model, timings, status, and error code to support authorization, limits, reliability, security, and troubleshooting.

10. Account and data deletion

Current public Android 1.0 does not require or create an App account. If your App version offers an optional account, or if you have an authorized Website content-management account, you can request deletion at kidneydaily.com/account-deletion or by emailing support@kidneydaily.com.

App account deletion covers the Supabase Auth user and user-linked profile, membership mirror, AI consent, usage or quota, feature-grant or device, and reviewed correction records controlled by Kidney Daily. Shared nutrition-cache records are not linked to your account and are not removed with an account-deletion request.

Deleting an App account does not cancel an active Google Play subscription and does not delete local device records. Cancel an active subscription through Google Play. Remove local records in the App, clear App storage, or uninstall the App.

Google Play, RevenueCat, Supabase, Google, hosting, email, and support providers may retain records under their own legal, security, billing, fraud-prevention, and service terms.

11. Information you choose to share

Information may leave your device when you deliberately share it through Android, such as sharing a Doctor Export PDF, backup, or attached source PDF with another app. After you share information with another app or service, that recipient controls its own copy under its own privacy practices.

12. Service providers, disclosure, and security

We use service providers to host and secure the Website, authenticate authorized administrators and optional App accounts, store publication and subscription records, deliver email, process support messages, operate connected App features, and manage purchases where those services are available. They process information to perform those functions under their terms and agreements.

Kidney Daily uses encrypted network connections for connected features. We do not sell personal or health information. The current public Android release does not contain advertising, and the audited Connected AI Food runtime does not include an advertising analytics SDK.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse or security incidents, or complete a corporate transaction subject to appropriate protections. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Children's privacy

Kidney Daily is intended for adults 18 years of age or older and caregivers who use the Website or App to help organize kidney-care routines. The Website and App are not directed to children or teens.

14. Health and medical boundary

Kidney Daily is for education, personal tracking, organization, reminders, nutrition awareness, and preparation for conversations with a licensed care team. Website content and Connected AI Food output are not medical advice and do not state that a food is safe for kidney disease or any other condition.

Always consult a licensed healthcare professional for medical decisions, symptoms, targets, medications, diet changes, and treatment questions. If you may be experiencing a medical emergency, call local emergency services immediately.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Kidney Daily or its legal obligations change. We will update the Last Updated date on this page and provide any additional notice required by applicable law or Google Play policy.
